Who this app is for
Hermes Gmail Bridge ("the App") is a single-user personal automation tool. The only user of the
App is its owner, who is also the only Google account holder whose data the App accesses.
What data the App accesses
With the account owner's explicit OAuth authorization, the App reads and manages the owner's own
Gmail messages, filters and labels, Calendar events, Drive files, Contacts (read-only), Sheets,
Docs, and Tasks on the owner's local computer.
How the data is used
- To perform tasks the owner asks for: email triage, summaries, digests, drafting, file organization.
- Processing happens on the owner's own computer. Data is transmitted only between Google's services
and the owner's machine, plus an AI model used to reason about the tasks (which may be a local
model or an AI service the owner configures).
What the App does NOT do
- It does not sell, rent, share, or advertise with any data.
- It does not send email on the owner's behalf without the owner's explicit per-message approval.
- It does not store Google credentials in any hosted service; OAuth tokens stay on the owner's machine.
Revoking access
The owner can revoke all access at any time via Google Account → Security → Third-party apps
with access to your account, or by removing the app's authorization. Revoking stops all App functionality immediately.
